Regional School for the Deaf & Blind
Friday , Sept 11 we spent the day with the kids at the Regional School for the Deaf and Blind in Mobile Alabama. Dixie and Rascal caused quite a stir when we pulled up & unloaded them from the back of the van. The kids were so excited to see them. We set up in the back of the school. Under the direction of Dr. Wilder Roberts and the other teachers, the kids came out one class at a time and visited with the horses. They took turns petting, brushing & feeding them carrots. I don't know who had a better time, the kids or the horses. As we left, Dr. Roberts presented us with a painting the kids had done for us. It was signed by all of the children and will always have a place on our wall.
